Haydn House was so close to the town centre, literally just around the corner from Silver Street. My husband and I stayed in the Silver Birch suite which had everything we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay for three nights. Although Haydn House does not offer breakfast it suited my husband and I because there are numerous places on the High Street serving vegan, vegetarian, or full English breakfast. The owner/manager Charlie is kind, courteous, informative and has a great sense of humour. We would definitely choose to stay there again should we visit Glastonbury in the future. Thanks Charlie! :)

Haydn House is located a very short walk from the town centre, yet in an extremely quiet position. The Abbey View Suite has lovely views across the Abbey Gardens. It has a large bathroom with a powerful shower with endless hot water and a small kitchen area where you can sit and eat whilst looking over the trees in the back garden. Very comfortable bed. Charlie is a very friendly host with an excellent sense of humour.

I had such a good stay at Hayden house. The location is so nice. Waking up in the morning to see the Abbey ruin from the window, and sun rise on the other side, hear the birds chirping, is serene. Place is very nice and tidy, and Charlie is very friendly. I would love to come back to stay again!

It was a brilliant stay, pretty cheap for the wonderful room and the area. The staff was very welcoming, and I loved that we had an option to chose when our check in and check out time was. My only complaint was that the TV controller stopped working and it was way too late to ask for help.

Fantastic place, v central. I stayed in Silver Birch which was a good sized room with en-suite. Charlie was a great friendly host and even had a chocolate festive selection box waiting for me as I arrived. If I’m back in Glastonbury, I would stay there again

Thank you Charlie for looking after us in such comfort! The beds were restful, the rooms were peaceful and quiet and we had so much space, it was perfect for our needs. Very convenient for town with easy parking nearby, Charlie was a brilliant host and we will be back for sure!

Fantastic spacious and clean Room in a great location,Charlie was friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough, great communication before we arrived with a text message even asking what milk we would like so thought it was a lovely touch with both cows and Almond milk in the fridge on arrival.

Fantastic place to stay in Glastonbury! We had the Abbey view suite and it was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The check in was straightforward, and Charlie who owns it really accommodating and friendly, and offered us some useful tips about the town. If you want a self catering, great place to stay with fully equipped kitchen in the centre of town this is your winner!

I cannot praise Haydn House enough, we had a wonderful stay and Charlie was just amazing, nothing was too much trouble and his knowledge of the area and his recommendations were spot on and made our stay just perfect. Thanks Charlie for the birthday girl balloons for Hannah, it made her day and we will certainly be back to stay again. When visiting Glastonbury this is the place to stay, just minutes from the town centre but so quite and with wonderful views of the Abbey. Everything was spotlessly clean and the facilities are great. Loved every minute.

Fabulous 4 days at haydn house spotless room really comfortable and charlie is a great host I would recommend anyone to stay here because of it's location right in the middle of the town but very quiet and overlooking the abbey ruins we will book again soon.

My mum caught her hand twice on an irregularity on the hand rail going up from the ground floor to the first floor. She wondered if there was any chance this section of the hand rail, which intersects with a hard surface, could be altered to remove this minor hazard.

We had a wonderful stay at Haydn House. The rooms were clean and equipped beyond our expectations. The views of the abbey were beautiful. Our host Charlie helped us with our bags, was there in an instant if we had any queries and was very accomodating on our last day. Thoroughly recommended and can't wait to visit again.

A lovely friendly self contained space to stay. Away from the bustle of the High St but within a two minute walk. Easy walk to all of the towns attractions including the chalice Gardens and Tor. Overlooks the lovely Abbey Gardens. Easy access to the local cafes, pubs and stores etc for eats, drinks etc Our second stay - hope to be back many times in the future. The host, Charlie, isreally friendly and helpful Highly recommended.

I booked the abbey suite room as a surprise getaway for my husband. We were both thrilled with the room on arrival and the view is beautiful over the abbey ruins and lovely to wake up to. The room was clean, tidy with excellent facilities like the kettle, fridge and microwave and sweet touch of milk in fridge for arrival and tea, coffee and biscuits greatly appreciated. The bathroom was great with twin sinks and lovely hot shower. The weather was shocking while we were here but the abbey suite was a cosy snug to retreat to from the rain and we snuggled and watched a movie in the room (We took our fire stick with us) with some fizz. We had a truly wonderful weekend away despite the weather. Massive thank you to Charlie who is an amazing host. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return.

First time to Hadyn House and what a fantastic experience. Charlie an amazing host very knowledgeable about the area. Hadyn house is immaculately clean and felt safe from Covid at all times. Location within a 3 minute walk to the main high street and walks to the main tourist sights. Just a 15 minute drive to Wells. I Would recommend Hadyn House to anyone. Can't wait to go back!!

Charlie was a welcoming and friendly host who was full of information about the area. We stayed in the Abbey View Suite on the top floor which was excellent with a very comfortable bed,seating area with large TV, DVD player + films, a large well appointed bathroom and breakfast area with fridge and microwave. Haydn House is located in a quiet area of the town with easy access to the town's facilities. We enjpyed our 4 night stay very much.

Beautiful room, biggest comfiest bed ever. Great facilities. Perfect location, very quiet but only 2 minutes walk to the High Street. Charlie was brilliant and helpful, nothing too much trouble. He even got me a piece of my favourite cake from my favourite baker's for when I arrived.

Please provide a normal chair in the room. There was no where we could just relax and talk as the bed is too high and we don't find bar stools comfortable. The lack of a normal chair impacted our appreciation of the room more than you realise. Perhaps get rid of the chest of drawers and put an armchair in there. We only rent rooms with a twin double bed which is why we didn't choose the big room.

Cant rate this place highly enough. Great location, central but quiet. Great room with lovely decor, comfortable bed,microwave, fridge and kettle, so we could self cater or eat out. There was an exceptionally warm welcome from the host Charlie who showed us to our room. WWe stayed in the Abbey View which was a spacious,beautifully decorated suite of rooms with an amazing view of the Abbey gardens. We had a peaceful night on a very comfortable bed. In the morning we enjoyed a cup of tea which we made with the fresh milk provided and complimentary biscuits were a treat. We will definitely be returning to Haydn House!

Haydn House, a piece of peace and love in Glastonbury. Continue with that philosophy, because the guests will always appreciate it. I recommend this site to everyone. The attention (Shanon and Jon) is kind, polite and very, very professional. The breakfasts are wonderful, plentiful and rich. Really, if you travel to Glastonbury and want to stay in a special place, but really special, go to Haydn House.

I stayed for 3 nights and found the house comfortable and clean and located on a lovely and quiet street only a minutes walk from the main high street, Sharon and Jon where on hand to answer any questions I had about Glastonbury and to help with anything I needed whilst leaving me to come and go as I pleased. Every morning I was served a lovely breakfast of my choice which catered to my dietary needs. I would defiantly stay here again .

Haydn House is a beautiful, warm and very calm place. Sharon and John are so welcoming beautiful people. The rooms are specious, peaceful and relaxing and the breakfast was fantastic a great start to the day before going and exploring the very beautiful Glastonbury. Haydn House is a perfect location. You won't find a nicer, more welcoming couple of B&B hosts than Sharon & Jon. We are regular visitors to Glastonbury and Haydn House is always our first choice of places in which to stay. Haydn House is situated around 200 metres from the High Street, very convenient for the town and, in keeping with the Glastonbury ethos, it has a pleasant hippy vibe to it.

Highly recommended. The managers, Sharon and Jon, were warm and wecoming.I had an accident during my stay and they went out of their way to provide help and support. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the house has a warm, cosy feel. Location is good-central and convenient for shops, but also very quiet and away from traffic noise. Lots of choice for breakfast which was very good.

The first thing that my partner and I loved about Hayden House is how quiet its location is, while still being completely central. Our room overlooked the Abbey grounds and was beautiful and immaculate. Both Sharon and John were so welcoming, and Sharon makes fantastic breakfasts (they really set us up for our walks around the tor and out towards the Avalon Marshes, all of which is very accessible from Haydn House). You're a 1 minute walk from the high street, with all its fabulous cafes (try Rainbow's End cafe, it's amazing, and the Indian restaurant round the corner was lovely too) and shops. I really can't fault our stay. We did go pre-season and off-peak, so it was very quiet, but Haydn House definitely seems like a place to go for peace and friendliness all year round. We'll definitely be going back!

I was satisfied with the staff, they are very friendly and kind people. I was also satisfied with the services. I am a raw vegan which is usually a problem when I travel but there was no problem with the breakfast here. They were very friendly, adapted to my needs and I had a nice raw vegan breakfast every morning. :)

Warm, clean comfortable rooms and a good breakfast We have finally found the place we will always stay when visiting Glastonbury. Have stayed in many places in the area but none as good as this!

Best b&b I have been to! Great location, so clean,organized and hospitable.Lovely room with the most comfotable bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent and relaxing with a great atmosphere set by managers who were so friendly,open and giving. Really was one of the memorable stays I have ever experienced!!

Lovely B&B and in a quiet location. The host and hostess were friendly, warm and very considerate and accommodating. The house is spotless and the breakfast is very good. Ambience is one of calm and comfort. My friend and I have booked again for December and we would have no hesitation in recommending Haydn house to friends and anyone who wants excellent accommodation in Glastonbury.

Haydn House is a comfortable well appointend B & B literally spitting distance from town and The Abbey. Sharon and John were lovely to work with- very accomodating. Best fried egg breakfast in years! Comfy room, with clean updated bathroom and heated towel bar.

A very friendly B&B and very characteristic of Glastonbury. Nice central location in the town and surprisingly quiet. No dedicated parking facilities but a public car park is located around 100 metres from the property. This was our second stay and we will definitely be returning.

Sharon and John were excellent hosts, friendly,attentive and helpful. Haydn House is a hidden gem, very central to everything positioned just behind the High Street but in a quiet location.I stayed in the comfortable Abbey suite with beautiful views of the gardens and ruin. Will definately return.

An excellent mid-week, four night stay. We were made to feel at home and welcome as soon as we stepped over the threshold. Sharon and John are brilliant hosts, both friendly and helpful.....giving us tips about where to eat etc. and taking time out to just chat. Haydn House could not be better situated, literally 60 seconds walk to the High street, yet remarkably quiet and peaceful through the wee hours. Our room overlooked the Abbey and grounds...very nice to see first thing. If any of our friends are Glastonbury bound we would definitely recommend a stay with Sharon and John.

Very warm and caring welcome. Standards at this B&B remain just as high as when Charlie ran the place. We stayed in the big top floor room which is worth the extra money for a whole weekend escape. Atmosphere is lovely with very relaxing breakfast room. Excellent central location but away from High Street so quiet. Very good cooked breakfast. Why would I recommend this place to more people, I want to be selfish and stay quiet about this little gem.

I had a really enjoyable hassle free stay at Haydn House. Sharon met me at the door with a smile and a cup of tea. I found her and Jon sensitive caring hosts and the vegetarian breakfast I asked for was beautifully cooked. Perfection from the second you arrive. Sharon, John and charlie are the hosts with the most!!!!! Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely home from home. Like going to stay with your family !!!! Best breakfasts!!!! Abbey view room is a dream to stay in with a spectacular view of the abbey ruins. Even if we won the lottery we would not stay anywhere else!!! Cannot recommend it or them highly enough. (also have a beautiful gentle doggie that loves there too)!!! Enjoy.

This amazing little bed and breakfast made my stay just perfect! Sharon, John and Charly are very discrete but attentive hosts who made sure I always had what I needed and made me feel pampered. The rooms are cosy, clean, and bright, with a very comfortable armchair and a crystal of the same colour of the room! I was in the lavender room and I had a big amethyst on my bed side table! Super super perfect I definitely recommend it!

Haydn House is conveniently situated, close to the centre of Glastonbury, with great views of the Abbey, particularly from the top-floor suite. Sharon and Jon are lovely, helpful generous hosts. The breakfasts are hot and plentiful, with more variety than you would expect at a small B&B. Vegans and vegetarians are catered for. We would love to return, again, in the future.

We stayed here because it was central but it was more than that, Sharon & Jon were warm & friendly hosts a very nice couple. Council car park close to the house didn't break the bank. Hot drink on arrival and tasty breakfasts. Plenty of eating places within 5 minute walk. We shall definitely stay again particularly as we didn't tackle the Tor this visit. Sue & John

Stayed for two nights at the start of August whilst visiting family in the area, and we had a thoroughly lovely time. Sharon, John and Domino the dog greeted us warmly despite being nearly 8pm when we arrived due to traffic and showed us to our room with a pot of fresh tea. We stayed in the lavender room, which is cosy and clean with lots of storage. The double bed is comfy and the tea and coffee facilities are brilliant - way better than many four star hotels we have stayed in. The shared bathroom is huge and the shower is wonderful - hot and loads of pressure. Breakfast around the communal table was fantastic, with a huge selection - plenty of choice for meat lovers too! - and cooked to perfection. We've tried the Travelodge - don't go there! - and various hotel chains around the area, as well as the backpackers hostel in The Crown, and we can safely say that Haydn House beats them all hands down. It's our new go-to place when visiting Glastonbury from now on.

Great location, close to the centre of Glastonbury. My husband who objects to paying for parking, on principle, managed to find a place to park in the streets nearby, only a couple of minutes walk away! Sharon and Jon were great, very helpful, the food was excellent. A few bits of decor in the room and shower room needed attention but the room and linen were spotlessly clean.

We've stayed in Glastonbury before, but this has been by far our best stay and we'll definitely come back to stay at Haydn House. We had the Abbey View suite which is lovely, spacious, comfy, wonderful view of the abbey, quiet - all you can ask for. Super-friendly staff, delicious breakfast, really, everything was perfect.

Friendly and welcoming managers who bent over backwards to ensure I was comfortable. This is important when you are a solo traveler. The place was very comfortable and clean. The meals were delicious. It has everything going for it, even a view of the Abbey.

As mentioned when I booked, I had to do this quickly as I had been let down by a previous hotelier. My original booking was for a different type of accommodation so some features were not what I would normally choose and I can therefore not be as effusive as I would like to be. Charlie is very attentive to its clients. He had to face works for 2 days on the street that was planned accidentally and was even concerned to find us another place to stay.
